Nature´s raw materials

Nature’s raw materials have always been functional. Our production of turmeric and ginger juices and purées is used in many shots, which are often associated with health benefits. Ginger contains the natural compound gingerol, which is linked to soothing effects on the body.

Functional shots made from 100% natural ingredients are offered in different strengths and flavour profiles.

Juice & Beverage

We closely follow the seasons: elderflowers are harvested in May, Danish rhubarb in June, and the summer brings classic red berries such as blackcurrants, redcurrants, and cherries. In autumn, we process Nordic blueberries and lingonberries, as well as Danish aronia, apples, and pears.

Harboe Ingredients offers NFC juices, preferably cold-pressed and cloudy, but also clarified juices.

We also produce purées, well suited for smoothies and beverages with pulp. Our purées are produced without seeds.

We apply a gentle evaporation process that concentrates the juice, typically from around 10 Brix up to 65–70 Brix.

Different Fruit ingredients can be used depending on the desired flavour intensity and functionality. Juices offer a fresh and natural fruit character, while concentrates provide a more intense flavour and allow for efficient formulation in a wide range of beverage applications.

Fruit purées can also contribute body and texture, supporting a fuller mouthfeel in smoothies, functional drinks such as shots. By combining different fruit profiles, manufactures can create distinctive flavour compositions that meet consumer demand for natural, fruit-forward beverages with a premium taste experience.

Harboe Fruit Ingredients cover the entire supply chain — from the harvesting of raw materials through our processing operations to fruit ingredients supplied in bulk or as finished bottled beverages. The entire value chain is managed by us as the supplier.
